Drilling & Grouting

The process of injecting a substance into the ground is the oldest method of construction in order to improve or modify the characteristics of the subsurface. Applications of this procedure range from soil and rock impermeabilization to compaction grouting, from permeation to stoppage of water flows and soil erosion, and from reduction of seepage through pervious soils or fractured rock to the creation of grout curtains. Executed by means of mechanical or high-pressure grouting, grout substances range from neat cement grout, to mixtures of bentonite and cement, from silica grout to a variety of chemical admixtures.
