Pile Tests

Pile Tests are generally the testing of drilled and casted-in-place piles in order to evaluate its load carrying capacity, structural integrity, and load transfer relationships in the load-movement and shaft-soil interaction. Among such tests are Pile Load Testing Procedures which constitute several modes depending on the load parameters that the piles are designed to carry and constructed for. Procedures of such pile load tests are set and outlined in international standards such as the ASTM, and these include the methods for the pile preparations necessary for the successful execution of the pile testing procedures. Depending on the pile testing requirements, pile preparations may include the construction and installation of test reaction piles; setting-up and installation of Kentledge concrete blocks; fabrication, setting-up and assembly of steel beams and frames, or; construction of hammer guides and frames.
